Nikki didn't waste much time getting into acting, starting professional acting before her teens. Although regularly appearing in the odd film and on TV regularly in the early 90's, it was in 1997 she came to mass attention. Firstly she co-starred as Yuna in the TV series Mission Genesis (aka Deepwater Black) and secondly got the lead role of Leaven, the Maths Student in The Cube. Still a film mainly for SF fans it got her noticed and before long she was cast as Lt. Ezri Dax in ST:DS9, taking over the Dax symbiot. She got another good role in The Dead Zone TV series as Sarah Bannerman - the once-girlfriend of awakened Johnny Smith. Also has appeared in TekWar, The Outer Limits, Poltergeist: The Legacy and Psi Factor. Watch out for her in comedy film Phil the Alien.
