Kate Beckinsale. Naughty or nice? Well, even in seemingly nice characters like Flora in Cold Comfort Farm, she proved that even when she is nice, she is still naughty. Big Hollywood success came with an unfortunately abysmal film, Pearl Harbour. But genre success was entrenched with Underworld, spawning a sequel, Underworld: Evolution. In similar but completely different vain (though sometimes still in leather) was here role in Van Helsing. Mixing it up with the serious, such as Ava Gardner in The Aviator, she clearly will continue to get great roles for a long time to come. Latest is in a film called Click, about a man with a remote control that allows him to go back and forth in his life (until it starts controlling him).
