Welcome to Jolene Blalock's Bio Page at WebFantasy.info

Date of Birth:

Pisces

Place of Birth:
San Diego, California, USA

Height:
5' 7" (1.7m)

Hair colour:
Brown ... or Blonde?

Background:
Grew up in San Diego. Surfed a lot with her Dad and brothers, (but enjoys many other sporting activities as well, including skateboarding). Doesn't hide the smokin' background. At 17, became a model, and travelled the world before ending up in Los Angeles. Started into acting and got her first good guest role in TV show "Veronica's Closet" in episode "Veronica's Breast Efforts" ... <ahem>

But at the age of 25, amongst a rash of guest roles, Jolene got the role of Medea in TV version of "Jason and the Argonauts" which brought her to many people's notice. Following this up with "On the Edge", Jolene was soon being mentioned as the next "Star Trek Babe" in the fifth series of Star Trek called simply "Enterprise". (And incidentally, we started the Jolene appreciation page before Enterprise even started filming.)

But, just like the previous "Star Trek Women", it is a label that does not do justice to the actress. And actress she certainly is, taking on what is really quite a difficult task, to portray the non-emotional Vulcan Sub-Commander T'Pol, who dislikes humans, and yet shows that her feelings are not absent, but merely suppressed, to show the change where she starts respecting certain humans, to look stunning in her skin-tight costume, while yet being taken seriously as a science officer. No easy task, but Jolene certainly carries it off. She actually initially almost declined the role, without even reading the script, but was later thankful she said yes - after all she was chosen from thousands, partly no doubt because she sold her acting ability and interest in the role rather than just her looks. Of course having a slight Vulcan look to her did help a little.

And it also helps that Jolene is a fan of ST:TOS, particularly Spock, - she has even collected some ST memorabilia. She says, "I'm an avid fan of the original Star Trek. I grew up on it. There was such utter loyalty between Spock, Kirk, and Bones. They would give their life for each other. I love the way they worked together." An initial idea for her part was that it could be T'Pau. Yes, the T'Pau. It changed long before the series started filming, but Jolene still plays the part with T'Pau in mind.

There will certainly be life after Star Trek and even other jobs during Star Trek, such as a role in the miniseries of Wilbur Smith's novel "The Diamond Hunters". And of course there are those extremely sexy shoots for magazines, reminding us that she is also still a model.
