Welcome to James Spader's section at WebFantasy.infoJimmy Spader got his first good film role in Endless Love in 1981, was more noticed in Diner, followed by a strong role in A Killer in the Family. Still in TV movies, he starred in 1985 in Starcrossed (helping an alien woman in an underrated film). Since then he has created a series of fascinating characters, at times straight, at others off the edge and in Sex, Lies and Videotape, showing he was not scared to explore the riskier areas of sexuality (exemplified in Crash and in Secretary). In 1994 he created the character of Daniel Jackson in the original film Stargate. He was in outer space in Supernova and seeking alien life in Alien Hunter. Whether in SF or action or thriller or sex mystery or in TV law shows The Practice/Boston Legal, his character porrayal is always more than interesting in what are always above average films.
